Summer Road Tour 2008 Arapahoe County Fair 2008 Colorado State Fair 2008 KKTV Meteorologist Stephanie Ortmann was our 2008 Colorado State Fair Model Train Show judge. Stephanie also judged the Youth in Model Railroading modules that were there Saturday and Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. Grand Champion Ribbon went to Howard Smith's "Lost Lady Canyon" bridge module. Reserve Champion Ribbon went to Jerry Bonds' Tunnel-Mine module. Third Place Ribbon went to another Jerry Bonds module. Fourth Place Ribbon went to Gerry Drewes' Vandalia module. Fifth Place Ribbon went to Howard Smith's Apex Mine module. Sixth Place Ribbon went to Gerry Drewes' Vandalia module. Pikes Peak & Southern Railroad's Board of Directors: Jerry Bonds, Chris Fox, Howard Smith, and Gerry Drewes and our staff of Senior Engineers: Alan Hutchins, Myron Gelsinger, Jerry Hansz, and Fred Carlson ran trains over the four day run to the crowd's delight. Fair management said comments from spectators continue to come in proving "The Colorado State Fair Model Train Show" is still a crowd favorite.
